The arms are Gules a bucket lever Or garnished Sable between two hunting horns Argent respectant cordoned Or and in chief a sheep passant Argent garnished Sable. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VALE DE AFONSINHO"

Vale de Afonsinho Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo Municipality; it had 122 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 13,79 km².
