The arms are Argent two hydrangeas Azure stalked and leaved Vert placed in pale and set in fess, in chief two billets Gules, in base wavy Vert two barrulets wavy Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "FREGUESIA DE LAJES DAS FLORES".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing the sea.

Presentation of Lajes das Flores

Lajes das Flores Commune is one of the seven communes of the eponymous Municipality (q.v.); it had 540 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 18,45 km².
