The arms are Or a lion rampant Gules, in chief a bunch of grapes Purpure leaved Vert between two cogwheels Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "BOIM"

Boim Commune was one of the 25 pre-2013 communes of Lousada Municipality (q.v.); it had 2262 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 3,65 km².
