The arms are Argent a bend dancetty Sable and issuant from a base wavy Vert and Argent barruly wavy of four, a ship affronty Azure garnished Or and decorated Sable and Vert. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "FREGUESIA DE NAZARÉ".
Meaning:
The ship shown in the arms is shaped and painted as typical central Portuguese small ocean fishing vessel; the zigzag bend may refer to the local cliffs, which are fitted with a funicular linking the strand town to the Marian shrine located on a cliff summit; rock carved steps may exist.

Nazaré Commune is one of the three communes of the Nazaré municipality; it had 15 158 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 40.7 km².
