It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

The arms are Argent, in base a double mount Sable semy of horse shoes Argent above a base wavy of Argent and Azure, in chief three grape leaves Vert set in fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "DESTRIZ" in black upper case letters.
Meaning:
There is a local geomonument named Horseshoe Painted Stone (Pedra das Ferraduras Pintadas), which is depicted on the arms. Look here!

Destriz Commune iwa one of the pre-2013 communes of Oliveira de Frades Municipality (q.v.); it had 397 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 12,86 km².
