The arms are Azure a cross Argent its ends adorned with three acorns Or each their cups Gules and issuant from a base wavy Azure chagned with a fess Argent a mound Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SANTO ANTÃ"NIO - PONTA DELGADA".
Meaning:
The main element on the arms is the cross of St. Anthony of Lisbon and Padova, usually a cross coupe Gules acrorned of the same.

Santo António is one of the 24 communes of Ponta Delgada Municipality (q.v.); it had 2004 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 11,73 km².
