It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow background (village rank).

The arms are Sable a bladed wheel Or between two sticks Argent set in pale all above a woody grapevine Or fruited Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA FACAIA"
Meaning:
The arms show local produce (grapes and timber) and refer to the traditional patron, St. Catherine of Alexandria, represent by her instrument of torture, the wheel.

Vila Facaia Commune is one of the three communes of Pedrógão Grande municipality (q.v.), it had 702 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 17,32 km². The other two communes (Graça and Pedrógão Grande proper) have not yet adopted arms, according to Sérgio Horta.
