It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

The arms are Azure a fess chequy of Argent and Sable, in base a triple mount issuant Or and over all a flower Vert 4 times blossomed Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "ALQUEIDÃO DA SERRA" in black upper case letters.

Alqueidão da Serra Commune is one of the 10 communes of Porto de Mós Municipality (q.v.); it had 1814 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 21,2 km².
