Portimão Commune has no proper flag and probably shares the symbols with Portimão Municipality, but the commune has a logo, displaying on white background a blue square with white seagulls, white waves and a yellow radiant sun exceeding the square, beneath the square a black inscription "Freguesia de" (1st line) "Portimão" (2nd line, bigger).

Portimão Commune is one of the three communes of the Portimão Municipality (q.v.); it had 45 431 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 75,69  km².
