The arms are Gules on a fess wavy Argent a fess wavy Azure, in chief a cross fleury Argent voided, in base two books Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading "CERNACHE DO BONJARDIM" in black upper case letters.

Presentation of Cernache de Bonjardim

Cernache do Bonjardim Commune was one of the pre-2013communes of Sertã Municipality (q.v.); it had 3283 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 76,06 km². This town was the birthplace of D. Nuno Álvares Pereira, major historical figure, and whose arms were Gules a cross fleury Argent voided. The wavy fess stands for the local, eponymous river, a subtributary of the Tagus.
