It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and red .

The arms are Gules, two chestnuts proper set in fess, in chief a coronet Or, in base a corn cob Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SINDE - TÁBUA".
