he arms are Argent a rose Gules barbed Vert and seeded Or surrounded in chief by a crescent Azure, both flanked by two wheat ears Vert, in base a triplemount Vert. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SOBRADO - VALONGO".

Previous Sobrado Flag (1995 - 2003)

[Sobrado commune (1995 - 2003)] 2:3 image by Sérgio Horta, 17 Dec 2010 The current flag was approved upon upgrade of the commune seat to town status in 2001. The previous arms had identical bearings, differing only in the number of towers, three (commune status), and the flag was plain green.

Presentation of Sobrado

Sobrado Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Valongo Municipality (q.v.);it had 25 322 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 19,40 km².
