Shield Argent, three chestnut twigs Gules fruited Or set 2:1, issuant from base a mound of three coupeaux Azure. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "CARREZEDO DE MONTENEGRO".

Carrazedo de Montenegro Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Valpaços Municipality; it had 1620 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 29.1 km².
