The symbols of Skenderaj are provisioned in the municipal statutes, adopted on 27 November 2008, as follows:
Neni 6.
Simbolet.
6.1 Komuna ka të drejtë të përdorë simbolet e saj si: vulat, emblemën dhe flamurin komunal.
6.2 Komuna përdorë vulën shenjën dhe emrin e komunës.
6.3 Simbolet e komunës miratohen dhe ndryshohen nga kuvendi i komunës në pajtim me dispozitat kushtetuese dhe ligjore të Republikës së Kosovës.
6.4 Simbolet e komunës mund të miratohen , apo të ndryshohen me dy të tretat (2/3) e votimit të anëtarëve të kuvendit të komunës, pas konsultimit publik gjithëpërfshirës.
