The flag of Yakutsk adopted 20, June, 1996.
The flag consists of 5 horizontal stripes:
- blue (2/16 m)
- red (1/16 m)
- white (10/16 m)
- red (1/16 m)
- green (2/16 m)
Ratio 1:2 m.
There is a red rhombus in the centre of white stripe.
Ancient wood tower of XVII century (in white colour) placed in the rhombus.
Meaning:
- rhombus - native land,
- white colour - North,
- blue colour - sky;
- green colour - summer and glass;
- red colour - life, warmth; gladness
