About the flag

The flag of the city of Alexin red with the symbols (two gold clubs in saltire) taken from the coat of arms of the city, set toward the hoist. Symbolism of the flag: The historical coat of arms of the city of Alexin, adopted on 8 March 1778, has been used a basis for the flag.

  • Red color — symbol of courage, selflessness, heroism, valid fight and life.
  • Yellow — the symbol of strength, sublimity, wealth/riches, intellect and generosity.
Author of the flag: Constantine Mochenov from the city of Khimki. Flag it is introduced into the register of state heraldry under Nr. 447. Ratio 2:3
