Presentation of SEKA Akdeniz

SEKA means Selüloz ve Kağıt Fabrikaları, that is the Cellulose and Paper Factories Agency. Akdeniz means Mediterranean. The SEKA Akdeniz establishment was constructed for producing kraft pulp, sack kraft paper and manufacturing lumber and wood products. Establishment was started to build on 28 July 1975 and production started on 18 October 1984. It is located in Silifke (known in the past as Seleucia), a port in southern Turkey, opposite Cyprus.

According to Brown's Flags and Funnels of Shipping Companies of the World (1995) [lgr95], the house flag of Seka Akdeniz is white with a blue diamond bordered black and charged with SEKA in white.
