This is, surely, an alchemical symbol. Looks like Sulfur (see:

Heraldry:
"Azure; argent crossed arrow with twist on beam, accompanied
in base by argent rose with vert leaves. The shield enframed by
or cartouche and crowned by or village crown. The author is
E.Chernets'kyi.
Symbols use sign and colours of landowner Proskura-Suschans'kyi
emblem. It is complemented by the rose, which symbolizes Rozalia
Proskura-Suschans'ka, in honour of which village has received the
name.
