Castle tower symbolizes city, the ship maens achievement of the purpose, a wavy beam maens Korchyk river, gules color of a field maens courage and boldness, or color maens riches and generosity."

The City

"It is located on a Korchak river coast from which has received the name. The first annalistic mentions are dated since 1150. From beginning XV century proprietors of city of steel princes Korets'ky, from middle XVII century Korets' has passed to Leschyns'ky, and then it owned princes Chortoryis'ky."
