Web page at www.cofairhope.com shows a standard concentric circular format seal with double outer fimbriation. The outer ring is in black and white with CITY OF FAIRHOPE in large capital letters at top and ALABAMA at bottom. The innermost circle is in colour, depicting a scene on Mobile Bay with three sailboats on the bay itself in the middle distance, two to the right and one to the left, all outlined in black. The waters of the bay are a deep blue, fimbriated in black and drawn so as to give the appearance of waves. Over this scene is a cerulean blue sky, while at the top of the circle is a large golden sun, partially obscured by a thin white ribbon of cloud; the outer edge of the sun almost touches the top of the inner circle. In the foreground is a white gull with wings extended, outlined in black and facing to the right; the tips of its wings extend into the space between the two concentric circles.

In May 2009, Valentin Poposki forwarded us a note from the Fairhope, Alabama, city clerk saying that the city flag "has the seal on it which is the City Logo," and that the seal itself is copyrighted, thereby preventing its use on FOTW.
I came across a photograph online today from the news website AL.com, which is the unified portal for the Huntsville Times, the Birmingham News, and the Mobile Press-Register newspapers. The photograph shows a Fairhope City Council meeting in progress with the American, Alabama, and Fairhope flags behind the council members. BBased on the photograph, the Fairhope city flag consists of the city seal centered on a white field.
