Description of the flag

I received an answer from Chula Vista city, California, which sent me a big photo of the flag. It is white and red with a city logo on the wider white stripe.

The colors are white and maroon, not white and red. From www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM59QZ_City_of_Chula_Vista_California_USA:
The Chula Vista flag has two horizontal stripes of white and maroon; the white stripe is somewhat larger than the maroon stripe. In the white stripe is a stylized picture of a sunrise over mountains with ocean waves in the foreground, and the words "City of Chula Vista."

As you can see from the photo, the flag alludes to the design of the California state ("bear") flag, with the red stripe at the bottom. But the city flag's red stripe is significantly wider, and is a different shade of red.
