Description of the flag

The flag of the City of Cathedral City, California, is white with city logo on it. The logo in fact represents the sculpture. The sculpture sits at the north east entrance of the City and was done by a local artist. I'm sorry I don't have any other picture to offer you, however the sculpture is created from the visions of the Mountains in the cove of our City. They thought like looked like the Cathedrals, so there was where the city got its name, Cathedral City. Information thanks to Pat Hammers, MMC, City Clerk.

"Cathedral City is a city in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 42,647 at the 2000 census. Sandwiched between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, it is one of the cities in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area) of southern California. The town's name derives from "Cathedral Canyon" to the south of the town, so named in 1850 by Colonel Henry Washington because its rock formations were reminiscent of a cathedral. The city itself started as a housing subdivision in 1925, but was not incorporated until 1981.
