The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is the lead law enforcement agency for the unincorporated areas of the county and is accredited by the State of Florida.
The flag of the Sumter County Sheriff's Office can be seen in photographs at
(www.villages-news.com/tribute-paid-to-those-in-law-enforcement-who-paid-ultimate-price/). The flag appears to follow a pattern I've noticed for sheriff's office flags in Florida, wherein the sheriff's office badge is centered on a green field.
