"The 26th annual Granville Harvest Fair, which concluded its three-day run yesterday, served as the setting for the unveiling of the community's first town flag.
Granville was incorporated as a town in January 1754, and its official flag is the result of a fifth grade Granville Village School field trip last year to the State House in Boston where students learned that the town is not represented in
the Great Hall where flags of other communities are on display. As a result, the community launched a design contest, under the direction of Erica C. LeFebvre, 13. Several designs were selected and residents cast ballot for their choice July 4, 2006. The design created by Erica's sister Amy K. LeFebvre, 15, a sophomore at Southwick-Tolland Regional High School, was selected.

The first flag hangs at the school. Another one will soon hand at Town Hall, officials said.
