The flag of the City of Monroe, Michigan, consists of a red field on the hoist, and red and white horizontal stripes on the fly, divided by the city seal, positioned towards the hoist. The seal shows a map of Michigan with red mark for position of the city. Around are placed several elements. In the outer circle is the inscription "CITY OF MONROE / MICHIGAN'S ONLY PORT ON LAKE ERIE". The flag is bordered in red.
