I first saw the design at the Havelock City Hall. It was the city logo, outlined in black, on a white background. Ratio 2:3. The center of the logo is an airplane next to a bunch of U.S. flags. That is for all of the military people who live and have served in Havelock. It is in front of the Havelock Police/Fire Station. The monument is
also known as the "airplane on a
stick." The outer circle has the words in all caps "HAVELOCK, NORTH CAROLINA" on top and on the bottom "INCORPORATED IN 1959."
