Nicholas Meyer, a student at Graham Middle School in St. Paris, designed the Champaign County flag. His design was adopted on March 5, 2003. This flag is divided into quarters. It shows yellow gears, red cars and houses, blue waves, and green crops. A white outline of the county is shown in the middle. "Champaign" is a French word that means "a plain," and reminds us of the land in this area.
