Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or MIT, is one of the major universities in the Boston, Massachusetts, area. Following the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, the suspects in that attack encountered and killed an MIT police officer. At a memorial ceremony later, the MIT flag was displayed along with the American, Massachusetts, and Boston flags, among others. Using the photographs I found at www.blogcdn.com/slideshows/images/slides/253/726/4/S2537264/slug/l/boston-commemorates-one-year-anniversary-of-marathon-terror-bombings-1.jpg and darkroom.baltimoresun.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/boston-marathon-anniv-04071.jpg, I have reconstructed the flag of MIT.
The flag of MIT consists of the university seal in red and white against a plain white field. The flag featured in the ceremony also has a gold fringe, though I assume that the fringe is only for indoor or ceremonial use and no everyday flying.

The origin and meaning of the seal are detailed on the MIT website: libraries.mit.edu/mithistory/institute/seal-of-the-massachusetts-institute-of-technology/
