In Uruguay there are several co-operative groups in different economical activities. It is common that these groups raise the international co-operative flags, like the International Co-operative Alliance Flag. The previous (1925-2001)
seven stripes rainbow flag of the ICA was also used in the past.
Some Uruguayan co-operative groups do have their particular flags too, to use alongside national flags and international co-operative flags.

FUCVAM or Federación Uruguaya de Cooperativas de Vivienda por Ayuda Mutua (Uruguayan Federation of Housing Co-operatives for Mutual Help) is a federation formed by more than 300 smaller co-operatives in order to build homes for working people and to develop urbanism. FUCVAM was originally founded in 1970. It is member of several international co-operative organizations like the ICA
The flag of FUCVAM is formed by four fields divided by the diagonals. The left and right fields are blue, and the other two orange.
A white map of Uruguay appears at the center of the flag. Inside the map an orange silhouette of a house (as FUCVAM activities have to do with homes building). Inside the house two green pine-trees (a symbol of the co-operative movement). The pine-trees stand for life. They are two because they represent mutual help and solidarity. Both trees are of the same high because this means growing in equality.
Finally the name of the group "FUCVAM" appears above the map in an arch, and the name of the country in another arch below. Both of them in white letters.
