The Band

Zibiodey / River Heart Métis Aboriginal Community/Band is a Metis non-recognized band in Indiana, USA is registered as a non-profit organization.

"Very few people have ever heard or known about the Metis American Indian people. The Metis are individuals who are descendants of the first people of the Americas that evolved from intermarriage of the people who came to the Americas from the continents to the east of the Atlantic Ocean and west of the Pacific Ocean. The Metis are proud people and they are many in numbers, yet only a few are willing to take a stand and demand their rights as American Indian citizens in the USA, Canada, Central America and South America." - from: www.zibiodey.org/zibiodeymetis.html.
