The County of Elgin, Ontario, has two flags. One, the traditional, is used
for official functions of the county. It is the county crest on a white
background. The crest is circular with an inner shield that shows a beaver under
(oak or maple?) leaves. In the outer circle "COUNTY*OF*ELGIN*ONTARIO". Above is
positioned a crown. The other, marketing flag, is used to promote the county and
flies from the exterior of county facilities. It consists of the county logo on
a white background. The logo consists of three curves - yellow, green and blue,
"Elgin (in green) / County (in green-yellow)" and "Progressive by Nature (in
green)" below.
Information, photos of the flags and images of the crest and
the logo thanks to Brian Masschaele, Director of Community and Cultural
Services.
