The Album 2000 [pay00] shows a 2:3 blue flag with a red Scandinavian cross fimbriated white and a white star in canton, allocated to Minister, Ambassador, General or Envoy Extraordinary. Already shown in Flaggenbuch [neu39] with allocation to State minister (excluding Minister of Navy), Ambassador, Envoy Extraordinary, Minister Plenipotentiary, Minister-Resident and General of Division.

The Album 2000 [pay00] shows a 2:3 red flag with a white Scandinavian cross and a white star on a blue canton, allocated to Governor and Chargé d’Affaires. Already shown in Flaggenbuch [neu39] with allocation extended to General of Brigade and Provincial Intendant.

On the correction #1 of Album 2000, [pay01], page CH 1.2, Note no longer says «Governor» but adds «Regional intendant».

An official on line document intitled División Politico Administrativa y Sistema de Gobierno y Administración says i.a. that each region is administered by an Intendente (I seem to recall that formerly Chilean regions were called departments.) It says also that each province is administered by a governor (Gobernador, exec.).
