Description of flag:
The ratio is approx 3:5. It is an armorial flag, quarterly divided into white and black and having a white fimbriation. An image of the coat of arms can be found at Stadler 1971, p.50. Photos of nowadays flag in Stefan Schwoon's database show however the flag without fimbriation. The quarterly divided shield is the coat of arms of the counts of Zollern. I found two of those flags within source covering the coffins of Prussian kings in Hohenzollern castle. As Hohenzollern has a different flag and the castle is located above the city of Hechingen, I concluded those flags being municipal flags of Hechingen. Furthermore it is the perfect match to the coat of arms as given in Stadler 1971.
