Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The silver(=white) shield is divided by a black cross, which is superimposed by a blue imperial globe with golden cross.
Meaning:
The cross is symbolizing the archbishopric and electorate of Köln. The globe is, according to Ralf Hartemink's webpage said to be a symbol for Princess Richeza of Palatinate, who gave the village to the archbishops of Köln in 1056.
