It is a white pennant, divided by a blue fessy wavy line superimposed by a red rose. The rose is taken from the coat of arms of the Lords of Lippe and the line is symbolizing the river Lippe.
Lippstadt is part of Soest county in Northrhine-Westphalia.

White pennant divided by a horizontal yellow-red-green ""Y"". Letters "Y", "C", "L" in black in the three triangles in which the "Y" divides the pennant.
The river Lister is located in the Sauerland, southeast of Wuppertal.
