Miles Li - Sydney - Australia

I was born in the then-British Colony of Hong Kong in 1978, but has lived in Sydney, Australia since 1992. My interest in vexillology began around 1990, originally as a way to record the events surrounding the end of the Soviet Union.
My main areas of interest are on ensigns, other "official" maritime flags and rank flags, from approximately 1870 to the present day. I see my role as that of a conservator of historical flags, irrespective of national origins, and as such I prefer to distance myself from political debates about flags.
Instead of a personal flag, I use the traditional Chinese seal shown above as my personal emblem. (I'll leave you guys to work out the meaning of the seal.)
