The municipality of Castrillo de la Guareña (139 inhabitants in 2010; 2,191 ha) is located in the southeast of Zamora Province, 50 km from Zamora.

Symbols of Castrillo de la Guareña

The flag and arms of Castrillo de la Guareña are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 28 November 2000 by the Municipal Council, signed on 18 April 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 10 May 2001 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 90, p. 7,221 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of three horizontal stripes with proportions 2:3, 1:6 and 1:6, the upper stripe red with a yellow castle, the middle stripe white and the lower stripe blue.
Coat of arms: Gules a castle or masoned sable port and windows azure surrounded by two bunches of grapes or, in base waves argent and azure. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
