Presentation of Santibáñez de Vidriales

The municipality of Santibáñez de Vidriales (1,198 inhabitants in 2009; 7,588 ha) is located in the west of the Zamora Province, 80 km from Zamora. The municipality is made of the villages of Bercianos de Vidriales, Moratones, Pozuelo de Vidriales, Rosinos de Vidriales, San Pedro de la Viña, Santibáñez de Vidriales (capital), Tardemezar and Villaobispo.

Symbols of Santibáñez de Vidriales

The flag and arms of Santibáñez de Vidriales are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 3 January 2003 by the Municipal Council, signed on 7 January 2003 by the Mayor, and published on 24 January 2003 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 16, p. 1,456 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, made of eight equal horizontal stripes, from top to bottom, red, white, green, yellow, red, white, green and yellow.
Coat of arms: Quarterly, 1. Gules an arm argent, 2. Argent a church gules masoned sable, 3. Argent a grapevine vert, 4. Gules two pairs of sandals per saltire. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.
