Flag of the General Council

The flag of the General Council of Nièvre is white with the General Council's logo in the middle.
The current logo of the General Council is an "update" of the former logo (see below), with the same symbolics (the sinuous white "N" for "Nièvre", the brown part for the land and the green part for the forests).

The flag of the General Council of Nièvre, used at least since August 1998, is white with the former logo of the General Council placed on a white field.
The former logo is a parallelogram divided black-green by an ascending sinuous white road, forming a stylized "N". CONSEIL GÉNÉRAL DE LA NIÈVRE is written in black letters below. On the new logo, the upper part is brown instead of black and thewriting, in italics, is placed above the parallelogram, CONSEIL GÉNÉRAL in black letters in a white cartouche, DE LA NIÈVRE in white letter on the top of the brown panel.
