The symbols of Ivanska are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Ivanska, adopted on 21 June 2002 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 8 November 2002 in the County official gazette Županijski glasnik Bjelovarsko-bilogorske županije, No. 9.
The symbols are described in Article 7 of the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Ivanska, adopted on 17 July 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the Municipality official gazette Službeni vjesnik Općine Ivanska, No. 2. This is repeated in the current Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Ivanska, adopted on 26 February 2013 by the Municipality Assembly and published in Službeni vjesnik Općine Ivanska.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.

The flag is described in Article 8 of the Decision as follows:

The flag of the Municipality of Ivanska is of a single colour, blue. In the middle of the flag, at the crossing point of the diagonals is the coat of arms of the Municipality, bordered golden/yellow, printed on the two sides of the flag. The ratio of the flag's length to its width is 2:1.
