Overview

Pécsvárad in Baranya county. This town is located near to Pécs (only 19 km notheast from there), laying on eastern hills of Mecsek Mountain.
The town's coat-of-arms and flag are officially described in a regulation issued by the local government (No. 2/2003) on May 1st, 2003. Designer was László Csizmadia.
Some historical facts and description of coat of arms (in English) can be seen at <www.nemzetijelkepek.hu>. There is an image of coat of arms, but it is very stilizied. Based on communication with Mayor's Office, the arms displayed on flag is the proper version. This variant can be seen at Town's Homepage.
The flag is white charged with coat of arms in the center, its proportion is 2:3.
