The Flag

The city emblem was adopted on Mar 31st 2006 by the Notice No 1 but no flag law. The white flag charged with the blue and green city emblem in the center. The flag proportion 2 : 3. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana け KE. The oval whirlpool stands for the coexistence, the collaboration and the limitless progress of the city. The wavy curve stands for the Pacific Ocean and the figure full of vitality. The blue and green symbolize the sea and the blessing of the earth.
