The Flag

Motoyoshi Town was merged by Kesennuma City on Sep1st 2009. The former town emblem was adopted in 1960 but no flag law. The blue flag charged with the white town emblem in the center. The flag proportion 2 : 3. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 本 MOTO in a circle form which represents the mind of the unity and the harmony. The three white lines stands for the old three municipalities and the town's main industry, agriculture-forestry, fisheries and business-industry. The emblem represents the Motoyoshi town's development.

The flag of the former town of Motoyoshi (now part of Kesennuma) is already reported, but I found darker shade of blue.
