The city emblem was adopted on Sep 22nd 2005 by Notice No 217 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a blue and a green two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana ば Ba of Bando. The green color stands for an abandunt nature and farmed goods, the blue color for the stream of Tone River. The two circles represent an image of the city which is full of a vigor, a safety and a cooperation by co-work of Iwai and Sarujima.
