The town emblem was adopted on Nov 27th 1979 and the flag was adopted on Dec 24th 1991. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana ごか Goka. The town emblem depicts a rising sun in a hazy town. It represents an unlimited development and an improvement. The flag proportion is 67:100. The length of the emblem is 43.8/100 of the length of the flag. The official town flag has no kanji name at the bottom part.
