The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Jun 1st 1996 by Notice No 19. The blue official town flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized K. The letter K symbolizes two rivers Tone River and Shintone River, the circle and an oblong inside do a single grain of rice which is an image of a rich town. The white flag is not an official town flag. The flag proportion is 10:15. The length ( not height ) of the emblem is 6.5/15 of the length of the flag.
