The city emblem was adopted on Nov 3rd 1959 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white city emble in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana ナカ Naka in form of wings and a circle. The wings stand for a surge of the city, the circle for a peace of the citizen and the city administration.
