The city emblem was adopted on Mar 27th 2005 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red , a green and a blue three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is stylized hiragana つみ Tsu and Mi. The red color stands for a passion, a brightness, a cooperation and the sun, the green color and the blue color for a historic and cultural garden city enveloped with a sky and fresh streams. As a whole, it represents a development and a surge of the city in a form of a flying bird.
