The Flag

The city flag was adopted on Oct 25th 2001 by Municipal Notice No 543. The white flag is charged with green city emblem in the center. The flag proportions are 2:3. The stylized S is the image of both people and the city advance lively to the future. The arc surrounding the letter S represents the city holding citizens warmly and developing together and the circle equals unity which spreads and harmonizes. The green stands for the harmony with rich nature represented by Minuma rice fields.
