The Flag

Abiko city Chiba adopted its emblem on 1 August 1955. A stylized katakana A . No flag legislation but they use flag above in practice. Flag proportion: 2:3; colour of field: light green; colour of emblem: white; diameter of emblem: 3/5 flag height.

The emblem is a stylised katakana a forming a circle broken at the bottom, with a second stroke starting as a circle inside the larger one and curling out the bottom. The upper part (the circle?) represents Teganuma (Lake Tega) and the lower part future dashing growth.
